The XXX combo, OTOH, will be used with a Hamer humbucker-equipped guitar, or my Buckethead Les Paul Studio, to get aggressive metal tones. It will be played through my Jet City, my Peavey Penta, my Fender Super Sonic, through Amplitube 3, and a couple other amps. I bought the 305 because I found the 305 I already have to be excellent at getting David Gilmour type Strat tones, with amazing, singing sustain. They're as mismatched as two pieces of gear can be. So I got there, and prices on these items were the same as last time I'd been there, no special deal.
